Linda Small is the founder and executive director of Reentry Sisters, a nonprofit support organization specializing in a gender-responsive and trauma-informed approach for women’s reentry, serves on the Mass Incarceration Convening Planning Committee for the national humanities councils, and is completing a MSc in Adult and Higher Education. She joined Freedom & Captivity while incarcerated, and since her release serves on the New England Commission for the Future of Higher Education in Prison. She is a Columbia University Women’s Collective Leadership Fellow. As a research coordinator on this project, Linda co-facilitates the PAR advisory group meeting; co-coordinates the oral history project team in Maine, including training the researchers; helps code and analyze the oral histories; joins the convening for contributors and contributes a chapter to the book.
