A conference on Academic Freedom on the US Campus
The conference will provide a space to discuss academic freedom on the American campus. Speakers will discuss the history of academic freedom, current interpretations, recent developments, challenges, and reactions to these infringements. In order to provide a broad perspective on the issue, the conference will cover five topic areas or disciplines, as well as a keynote lecture. The panels will focus on academic freedoms as it pertains to the fields of climate and environmental policy studies, Israel/Palestine, humanitarianism, and race and colonialism studies.
