Ian Mackinnon

Ian Mackinnon is a freelance software developer and data analyst specializing in uncovering information about the arms trade for NGOs. His projects for Campaign Against Arms Tradeinclude producing datasets and online browsers for UK arms export licences, European Union arms exports, and the political influence of arms and security companies. His other projects in connection with WPF have been building a corruption case database for Corruption Tracker, designing the PRISME Initiative website, and bringing to life the statistical analysis of conflict profiteering for the mini-site Who Arms War?. Since 2023 Ian has also been working with Demilitarise Education to develop their database of links between the arms trade and UK universities.
