Muauz Gidey Alemu (PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Aksum, Wollo, and Mekelle Universities. He currently serves as a senior researcher and coordinator of the governance and democracy sectoral research at the Tigray Institute of Policy Studies (TIPS). He is also a Research Fellow at the Institute for Research and Policy Integration in Africa (IRPIA), a non-profit based in Sierra Leone. Dr. Alemu’s expertise spans governance, peace, conflict, security, military affairs, and the complexities of post-war recovery. Dr. Muauz also engages in consultancy services beyond and above his teaching and research tasks. He is the founder and director of Bahgina Research, Consultancy, and Multimedia PLC.
