Tanner Kimple

Tanner Kimple is a Research Assistant at the World Peace Foundation where he works on the War Economies in the Horn of Africa project. His research primarily focuses on licit and illicit trade and foreign engagement in the region. Previously, Tanner interned at the Wilson Center’s Wahba Institute for Strategic Competition. He has held analyst roles at the Bank of Nova Scotia and Export Development Canada. 

Tanner holds a Master’s in Global Affairs from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Commerce in International Management from the University of Ottawa. He volunteers his time by teaching English to Ukrainian civil servants.
