Dr Amgad Fareid Eltayeb is a Sudanese politician, physician, and pro-democracy activist, currently serving as Political and Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council. A longstanding human rights defender, he has been actively engaged in Sudan’s democratic movement and civic mobilization efforts during Bashir era, advocating for civilian rule, accountability, and institutional reform. He previously served as Executive Director of Fikra for Studies and Development, as Assistant Chief of Staff to former Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, and as a political advisor to the United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS).
